The Chief Minister reviewed the ‘Sulabh Samparkata’ scheme under the self-reliant Seven Nischaya-2 of Bihar!

Chief Minister’s instructions-
For speedy connectivity in the state, work fast by preparing action plans for construction of bypasses and flyovers in urban areas as required.

The roads should be maintained by the engineering wing of the department, so that the quality of roads will be maintained.

Patna, 04 January 2021: – Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a review meeting of ‘Sulabh Samparkata’ program of good governance under the seven-year-old (2020-25) of self-reliant Bihar in ‘Samvad’ located at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat.
Additional Chief Secretary of Road Construction Department Shri Amrit Lal Meena gave a presentation related to the ‘Sulabh Samparkata’ scheme.  In the presentation, detailed information was given regarding construction of bypass or flyovers in urban areas as required.  In all 38 districts of the state, detailed information was given regarding the selection of places where the jammed, the number of recommended bypasses district-wise and their total length.  It was told in the presentation that the paths of rural works department and municipal bodies have also been identified, which can be developed as a bypass.  Additional Chief Secretary Shri Amrit Lal Meena proposed construction of proposed two-lane road of AIIMS-Naubatpur, OPRMC-2 (Output and Performance Based Road Assets Maintenance Contract), Road Overbridge (ROB), proposed Danapur Cantt Bypass.  And gave detailed information regarding other works of the Road Construction Department.
During the review, the Chief Minister said that for the sake of easy connectivity in the state, work swiftly by preparing an action plan for construction of bypasses and flyovers in urban areas as required.  Assess and work on flyover construction within the city as well.  He said that this will facilitate traffic and people will get rid of traffic jam.  Also, time will also be saved.  In the selection of bypass paths, keep in mind that land acquisition is minimized.
The Chief Minister said that the maintenance of the roads should be done through the department itself.  The people of the engineering wing of the department will do this work better, so that the quality of roads will be maintained.  Keeping in view the smooth traffic, safety and interest of the people, construction work of ROB (Road Overbridge) on railway lines should be done at a rapid pace.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Mrs. Renu Devi, Road Construction Minister Mr. Mangal Pandey, Chief Secretary Mr. Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Road Construction Department Mr. Amrit Lal Meena, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Chanchal Kumar, Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation Mr.  Pankaj Kumar, Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Manish Kumar Verma, Chairman and Managing Director of Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited Mr. Jitendra Shrivastava, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Anupam Kumar, Special Work Officer to the Chief Minister Mr. Gopal Singh, Joint Secretary, Road Construction Department, Mrs. Shailaja  Other senior officers and engineers including Sharma were present.
