Senior BJP leader and Bihar government minister Janak Ram stated that the Constitution, crafted by Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, laid a strong foundation of social justice, equality, and democratic values in India. This Constitution is not only the cornerstone of the nation’s legal system but also the guardian of every citizen’s rights and duties.
Janak Ram remarked that when constitutional frameworks are attacked for political gains, it is not just an assault on our democracy but also an insult to Dr. Ambedkar and the ideals he established. The Constitution, which provided direction to India, must never be questioned or weakened.
Taking a dig at opposition leaders, Janak Ram criticized Rahul Gandhi and others for their recent expressions of distrust in the Constitution and its framework, labeling it as a disrespect to India’s democratic ethos and Dr. Ambedkar’s legacy. He reminded everyone that it was the Congress party that trampled upon the Constitution during the Emergency, and the same mindset is now evident in Rahul Gandhi’s statements.
“Attacking constitutional frameworks serves only political self-interest,” said Janak Ram. “I warn Rahul Gandhi and other leaders that respecting the Constitution is every Indian’s duty. Disrespecting it means insulting the great man who envisioned equality, liberty, and justice for all.”
The Bihar government and the Bharatiya Janata Party are fully committed to upholding Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals and the Constitution he created. “We are tirelessly working to realize Ambedkar’s vision of India,” Janak Ram emphasized.
The minister urged Rahul Gandhi to cease attacks on constitutional systems and apologize to the nation for his statements. “Millions of Indians stand firmly with Dr. Ambedkar and his Constitution, and any attempt to undermine it will not succeed,” he concluded.
